Voice with Video

Show Alias what you are looking at. Share your camera and talk it through a task in real time, so you can stop describing the thing and just point at it.

Point instead of describing

Some problems take a paragraph to write down and one second to show. Hold it up to the camera and ask.

It follows along

Alias tracks what changes in view as you work, so you can get corrected while you are doing the thing.

Good for the physical world

Repairs, assembly, wiring, lab work and anything else where the answer depends on what is in front of you.

How it works

  1. 01

    Share your camera

Start a session and give the browser permission to use it.

  2. 02

    Show and ask

Point at the thing and talk normally about what you need.

  3. 03

    Work while it guides

Alias watches and corrects as you go, rather than after you finish.

Try asking

Here is the back of my router. Which cable goes in which port for this setup?

I am assembling this and the instructions make no sense. Watch and tell me if I have it backwards.

Look at this error on my screen and tell me what to check first.

Questions

Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser using the camera you already have, on a laptop or on a phone.
Is the video recorded?
The session is processed so Alias can answer you and is not retained as a video, and it is never used to train models.
How good is it at reading screens?
Good enough to read error messages, dialogs and settings pages, which makes it a fast way to get help with software without writing out what you are seeing.
